BRANSON, MO - Bobby Vinton, the man
Billboard Magazine calls " the most successful love singer of the Rock Era",
announced today that after 9 ½ successful years, he has sold his theater in
Branson Missouri.
David King, the creator and producer of Spirit of the Dance, has purchased the
theater. Spirit of the Dance has performed at the Bobby Vinton Theatre for the
past 3 years with great success.
Vinton is looking forward to reducing his demanding schedule, but will still
perform for audiences in cities from Las Vegas to Atlantic City. Vinton is also
in discussions to perform limited engagements in Branson at the Grand Palace.
Vinton says "...the theater was operating fine, but the offer was simply too
great to pass up. This was a very difficult decision for me to do because my
family was here along with so many friends and great audiences."
The sale is no way a reflection on Branson tourism. In fact, audiences and
revenues for the theater are significantly up this year. So much so, that Bobby
had added 60 plus show for next years schedule.
Spirit of the Dance will continue to delight crowds and make Branson its
permanent mid-west home. New management will also bring a show entitled
"Broadway!" which should prove to be a great addition to the Branson
Entertainment scene.
